Previous Consultancy Appointments

  • Consulted by Union Trust Bank to undertake a valuation of its Real Estate Portfolio for Audit Purposes. January 2023 to March 2023.

          

  • Consulted by Standard Chartered Bank through Jarrett Yaskey and Associates, Architects to undertake the Valuation of the Bank’s Real Estate Portfolio in Freetown and Bo. October 2022 to December 2022.
  • Consulted by The National Insurance Company to appraise its Real Estate Portfolio Nationwide including Freetown, Makeni, Bo and Kenema for audit purposes. September 2022 to October 2022.

  • Consulted by Solidaridad Sierra Leone to represent Sierra Leone in a Mid-Term Review of a Donor Intervention in the Cocoa sector in Sierra Leone by the Kingdom of the Netherlands to assess the impact on the primary producers,i.e. the farmers and the lessons learnt. It was a monitoring an evaluation assignment. 2020 to 2021.
  • Consulted by the Guma Valley Water Company Ltd to undertake a valuation of Project Affected Real Properties, Businesses, Trees and Flowers for compensation prior to undertaking rehabilitation construction work along the pipeline corridor from Mambo to Wellington involving 1400 Project Affected Persons (Oct 2020 to Dec 2020, see pictures)

  • Consulted by the Anglican Diocese of Freetown to advise rental values on a new commercial development in down town Freetown and on the same for a development lease on land belonging to St. Charles Church, Regent Village, and Freetown Western Rural.  
  • Consulted by the Sierra Leone Postal Services Ltd in October to evaluate and appraise their Real Property Portfolio of 33 Properties located nationwide and extract a Fixed Asset Register (2018, see picture of their Flagship Real Property in the heart of Freetown)   
  • Consulted by the World Bank Group Washington, USA to submit a report with Vacant Land Values for 75 Wards in the Western Region of Sierra Leone.  As a result Sonako, uniquely has in its database over 150 values for vacant land, because some wards have three different types of topography.  Sonako was subsequently issued with a World Bank Group Vendor Number, (2018).    
  • In 2016, Sonako was consulted to craft a Property Asset Management Strategy for the Sierra Leone Produce Marketing Company (formerly the Sierra Leone Produce Marketing Board) with a portfolio over 50 Properties.
  • To undertake a valuation of the national assets of the Seed Multiplication Programme, Sierra Leone (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security).  Prepared a NET ASSETS STATEMENT in readiness for privatization. Net Assets Value: $2,200,000, (2012). Sonako supervised multi-disciplinary professionals, including a Civil and Mechanical Engineer.
